Still recovering..

But I’ll try and do this the best I can, my head is thumping with this hangover.

Yesterday was incredible with Laline, a friend of the team that works for Leo Vince made us aware of a firend of his. This friend owns a Bugatti Veyron. There are a few pictures of it circulating on the internet. This one was in the Gumball recently. It first started out as a couple rides for Laline and I. That car was crazy when it came to ride quality. For instance, my Supra, when it climbs to the upper triple digits. It will kind of shake a little, get me a little nervous and hold on. The Veyron is just there. It is like riding on a cloud at 200mph. Then it got scary.

The guy turned his keys over to me. Climbing into the Veyron seat was incredible. Looking at the horsepower gauge, putting the 200+mph key in it. Just the reality that I was behind the wheel of a million dollar car that can crack the 200mph barrier. Then let me go get ice cream in it. It only took a few quick, and I mean, quick pulls to realize this car can move it’s own weight. I know on Top Gear it had a slow lap. But this thing isn’t built for turns. It is built to be the most extreme form of going fast. And it achieves that quite well.

Fantasy Factory!

With a couple phone calls made and some favors called on. Yes! Laline and I ended up at the Fantasy Factory. The place is amazing and I don’t think I could ever NOT have fun there. Rob is a cool guy, and everyone was there. I even told him about our Beefy and he laughed. His Beefy is female, and our Beefy is a male. He laughed, I did a burn out in the parking lot. Then we came home, and I am sworn to secrecy on where it is. But I will say one thing. It is hidden in plain sight!

Suspension Recipe

leave a comment »

I am looking around for the new coils as I type this, but I decided to let people what is involved in my setup.

Ikeya Formula Control Arms.

Ikeya Formula Tie Rods.

Ikeya Formula Pillow Upper Arms.

Ikeya Formula Pillow Lower Arms.

Ikeya Formula Rear Traction Bar.

Ikeya Formula Camber Adjuster.

Now the idea is for actual coilovers itself, there’s something that I think is true, look for an update on this later tomorrow.

The drive on Mulholland!

leave a comment »

It was insane until I started feeling the car fight back a little. It is the suspension and it’s too rough for the street. But overall the drive was absolutely awesome. I was leaving heavy tracks of rubber from my Michelins on the road. No sign of the police though. The drive was literally insane with all of the curves and the adjustments on the drive. I really want a more road and race suspension. Not a purely race and hopefully suspension. Yes I am ditching the Moton setup, but I will be back with something truly unique. Well unique to Supras as I have more suspension work on my car than 95% of the community of Supra owners. Which is a lot I can say.

I am definately going with a Roberuta cup kit, so I may end up with some Top Secret coilovers. Maybe a Ohlins, Bilstein, or Aragosta setup. I am tempted with some Teins, or even a HKS setup. With those NOB coilovers coming out, I looked into those. They’re mainly drift coilovers though, nothing for street/track though. I’ll look around, all I know is the Supra will be sitting until I can get a new setup to attack Mulholland again.

Oh, I need new Michelins too. The 335s are spent after the run on Mulholland, and I mean spent!!!
