Horrible pizza
Today this new pizza shop brought us buy some pizzas, chicken wings, “sticks”, and “dips”. The pizzas were pepperoni, four cheese, and a meat lovers. It was absolutely horrible. The chicken wings looked like trash. The “sticks” and “dips” were pretty nice. “Sticks” are of course bread sticks, and the “dips” were just re-cut bread sticks to dip easier with. They were okay.
Some one needs to open up a bomb pizza shop locally, it’d be nice to have a place to hang out. Grab a slice, watch some sports, eat chicken wings. Are there places like that locally? I haven’t seen one.
Australian Grand Prix!
Wow, this morning’s grand prix was something to start the record books with.
A team that is only a month old had a 1-2 finish, good game Brawn GP. In case any one doesn’t know Ross Brawn was the manager that led Schumey to his seven championships. What do we have instore with Brawn for the rest of the season? I am a little saddened at Ferrari’s opener, but they’ll be back in action for Malaysia!
And he’s back for 09!
Just thinking
I was just thinking about the Supra project while the shop is pretty empty. I mean there are a lot of things going on with it. Full Race fired off an email to me this morning. They just finished the manifolds to fit my HKS 3240s and they look amazing. So far I am the second person to run twin 3240s. The first person was my inspiration after seeing the horsepower numbers. Plus I figure I’ve always had single’d Supras, why not go twins? They’ll have to arrive in pieces so I can do final assembly, but it is a true work of art. My Hypertune manifold is in too. Just the runners are out getting powdercoated black per my asking.
There is a lot of chrome, paint, and carbon fiber under the hood. I’m just surprised how well this all coming together. My quad plate OS Giken clutch came in as well today. I have it sititng on my desk right, assembled, and it’s tiny to how I thought it would actually look.
The daily updates from Brian Crower aren’t bad either because they are actually doing the porting and engine work to get their stroker kit to fit. While a head is off in Jersey at HeadGames getting the Brian Crower valve train and 280 cams to fit. All of the stuff is supposed to be here in the period of two days. The Full Race and Brian Crower boxes will be dropped off by UPS on Monday. OS Giken and HeadGames will be here on Tuesday. While I should have the car on Monday night.
So I have the equation down.
HKS + Motec + OS Giken + Full Race + Brian Crower + HyperTune + HeadGames = Success.
Gold box!
My Motec came in today and I put the software on my laptop. Called some people got some maps. This little gold box is amazing!!! The software alone is incredible. I’ll be having fun with this thing while the tuner is tuning it. Mmhmm. It fits in the corner of the closet well with all the other goodies I have for it.
First track day
A shop track day is tomorrow. The bikes will be on the track, people will be out on their personal bikes. I’ll have my 848 and Laline will have her 600. Which sucks because we didn’t get her a riding suit nor did we get her boots. Looks like I’m leaving work early to pick that stuff up with her. I can’t wait though. It’ll be nice to take the 848 out on a track. I’ll be able to debut my StormTrooper helmet and my Dainese suit.
One day, hopefully, my gear will be on display.
