To all of my friends in VA

Hate me! I am in nice cool Miami, Florida weather! I was walking through South Beach with my shorts on and a nice t-shirt. Enjoying the cool breeze. I think the wife mentioned something about going to the beach and tanning tomorrow. We’re down here in the Cayenne. No Supra or GTR, just going to have some relaxing vacation time. Little does she know I have a surprise for her when New Year’s comes up next week. We’ve always been so close for this to happen but have never been in the area for it. So it will be pretty awesome when the ball drops this year.

What’s better than having your own drift RC car?

Orido has his own Aristo drift RC car from Yokomo. Does it get better? What’s better than having your own Aristo drift RC car?

A stack of them is better.

My Thanksgiving

Where oh where do I start? I woke up a little early and drug the wife over to my Dad’s hanger. I had to lay eyes and sit in the 599 GTO. I started it up and gave it a couple blips. The car sounds absolutely amazing, no aftermarket exhaust needed or anything. That is the most perfect car I’ve ever sat in, rev’d, and moved around a hanger! When it warms up and we’re in California, I’m definitely going to take it out and romp on it. For sure, that car craves it. Plus it’s one of the few black cars in my Dad’s all white collection.

We really didn’t have lunch at my parents’ place, we saved room for dinner. Because it was, and usually is, a few courses long. For starters my Mom made this turkey sushi. At first I thought it would be pretty gross, but it turned out pretty well. Even the wife loved it, which is unusual for her since she “likes” sushi. After all of the sushi, all of it made with turkey, we napped. The next course consisted of deep fried turkey. Yes, we had everything when it came to sides. Stuffing, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and oh lord I’m salivating as I write this. We took another little nap, then my Mom brought out dessert. Little cupcakes of pumpkin pie, crust and all, coconut cream pie, and Boston cream pie. After that we passed out for pretty much the rest of the night. It was pretty ridiculous, I won’t lie.

This morning my Dad and I talked about his collection and my small collection. We joked at one point how I was juggling different projects and rides. At one point I owned Blackie, an S14, a GTR, a CLK BS, and the wife’s Escalade. He is happy I’ve consolidated down to just Blackie, the GTR, and the wife’s Cayenne. But due to some circumstances, the GTR might be parting ways with us and we’ll be picking up another Benz. Either a C63 or a S63. Depends on how the wife feels when we get closer to our trip to Italy.
